To anyone that's been checking this blog, Sorry it's been a long time

It's seems like it's always a busy time in Korea but luckily I have been feeling motivated to learn over the past few days (which can be difficult when I get so tired). This is great timing as my final test for intensive Korean level 1 in coming up on Tuesday June 9th. Then I will get a short vacation and start up with level 2 the following week. I have already gotten permission to take off teaching that Friday and am right now debating on where I might like to travel while I have the opportunity. Parts of Korea come to mind, as does Hong Kong, China, and the Southern Islands of Japan that I can reach by ferry. I'm really looking forward to that break.
Also, it's worth mentioning that Korea is still being affected by the death of it's former president Roh Mun-hyun after his suicide almost a week ago. It seemed to even dampen the reporting on North Korea and it's current activities (another nuclear test and firing several test missiles along with other threats). Roh Mun-hyun and his wife were in trouble over money apparently given to him (or his wife) by wealthy businessmen while he was in office. I was in downtown Daegu yesterday and saw a tent set up with several pictures some writings set out along with many people leaving white chrysanthemums; which I found out was the tradition flower of mourning. I took some pictures with my phone and will be sure to try to get them posted soon.
